Even better than jewellery that's low in impact, however, is jewellery that actively gives back. This one-of-a-kind engagement ring is the epitome of that.

Deeply passionate about environmental and socioeconomic sustainability - in both her personal and professional spheres - Helen came to the table with a wealth of existing knowledge, but also an open mind. When Arabel told her about Ocean Diamonds, a leading specialist in marine diamonds extracted on a small and sustainable scale, Helen was eager to learn more. For both us and our client, this jewel was our first foray into the realm of artisanal marine diamonds, making for an exciting and educational experience for all. 

Helen's diamonds were retrieved by specialist local divers from the seabed off the coast of South Africa. They were then cut within that vicinity - the marquise side diamonds cut specially for this very jewel. From its origins to this end product, the journey of each diamond is traceable. 

What's more, the incorporation of Fairmined Ecological Gold has only further allowed this special piece of jewellery to leave a positive footprint in its wake. Fairmined Ecological Gold is mined without the use of an mercury or cyanide whatsoever and mined under strict criteria that ensure maximum benefit for small-scale mining operations and their communities.
